From the spring turkey woods to the old calling competition stage, from "The Truth" to "Facts & Feathers", Full Foliage was an instant classic back then, and it's remained an underground cult favorite among old school turkey hunters to this day.

With the re-birth of Full Foliage, we've got our full collection of Mossy Oak apparel favorites plus a few classics from the archives.

In 1989, we had our bases covered. Bottomland had become the uniform for those who hunt with their back against a tree. Greenleaf and Treestand rounded out the hunting closet, and the old school turkey hunters, whitetail bowhunters and flooded timber duck hunters had a little something new that matched their neck of the woods.

But there was something missing from the late spring turkey woods and early season whitetail woods. As Toxey said, Bottomland was a year-round back-against-a-tree workhorse and Greenleaf looked damn near perfect "when the leaves were 'bout as big as squirrels' ears." (Though, Greenleaf looks just right from opening day to closing.) With vibrant oak leaves atop the now-signature Bottomland background, Full Foliage was born. And from the porch of The Truth to Bent Creek, our old crew felt invisible after the green-up.

Full Foliage officially faded into the Mossy Oak vault, but the spirit of spring that defined those old school turkey hunters never waned. And as a new generation of hunters that aspired to that same old school woodsmanship of the early days of Mossy Oak, these old patterns occupied a special place in the closet.

Full Foliage never truly disappeared. Every spring, a few more folks channeled the woodsmanship of The Truth and Tenth Legion and tracked down well-worn handmedowns. From the original strap vest to old coveralls, a few defiant folks disappeared into the late spring woods in Full Foliage.

Now, this old school classic is back for good.
